Macedon Ranges Council has highlighted its key priorities and projects for investment in its Priority Projects 2022 prospectus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Priority projects include: Macedon Ranges Regional Sports Precinct, Daylesford to Hanging Rock and Kyneton Shared Trail, Woodend Community Centre and Kyneton Town Hall Reimagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Jennifer Anderson said the prospectus illustrated the shire was ready to plan and build for the future. She said its release was timely with upcoming state and federal elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe prospectus supports our ongoing advocacy discussions with key decision makers and has been developed to reflect the needs of our community and complement existing government strategies and policies. It highlights our willingness and ability to continue to seek out and foster, new and exciting partnerships with all levels of government,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn shaping our shire\u2019s future, we look forward to collaborating with local residents and businesses and our external partners – to not only meet immediate needs but realise the community\u2019s vision, where the wellbeing of residents, a strong local economy and a protected, and enhanced, natural environment are high priorities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other priority projects listed are: Lancefield Kindergarten and Maternal and Child Health Centre, electric vehicle charging stations, digital connectivity and communications, affordable housing, mental health service for young people, Woodend Golf Club Clubhouse, Healthy Landscapes Private Land Conservation Program; and Aquatic Facility Feasibility Study (the shire’s east).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CEO Bernie O\u2019Sullivan said the prospectus’ purpose was to share more about the shire with funding partners and to highlight that Macedon Ranges was attractive for investment. He said it would also make future planning and delivery of vital community projects a smoother and more efficient process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are willing to discuss options for funding for any or all of these priority projects, and bringing forward timelines if necessary to meet the requirements of any state or federal funding,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is all about working together to bring new ideas to fruition, build a better community for all of our residents and our vast visitor population, and ensure the Macedon Ranges continues to be an exceptional place for locals and visitors alike for generations to come.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
