Watsonia: A Writing Life<\/em>, is the 13th and latest offering by author Don Watson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


It is a collection of essays on subjects as diverse as Travel and Terrorism, Language and Leadership, Football and Faith and, most intriguingly, the question of Australia: Who are we? Where are we? And where do we go from here?<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Watson has written screenplays and satirical pieces and his extensive travels through rural Australia and the United States inform many of his musings. He has served as an adviser to Victorian premier John Cain and as a speechwriter for Paul Keating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


He will be appearing in Woodend on April 2, to sign copies of his books and be interviewed as a special guest of Macedon Ranges Rural Australians for Refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The venue is the Norma Richardson Hall, 15 Buckland Street, Woodend, and the event is scheduled to start at 4pm.
Tickets are $25 each and all proceeds from admission will be donated to the cause of supporting refugees in Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
