There are 376 animal species and 1457 varieties of native plants recorded in the Macedon Ranges. But the region is facing a biodiversity crisis, with many threatened species at risk of extinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


A new interactive exhibition at Kyneton Museum,\u00a0A Biodiversity Crisis<\/em>, showcases the unique flora and fauna of the region while exploring the threats to biodiversity and what we can do to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


View a collection of historical accounts of local species and photographs. There will also be a chance to get up close with a collection of animal specimens or take a peek inside some natural tree hollows to see who lives inside!<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Bring the family along for a guided presentation, available through several session times on April 14, 21 and 22. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyneton Museum is located at 67 Piper Street, Kyneton. The exhibition is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout April from 11am to 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Admission: adult $5, concession\/student $3, child under five years free, and family $10.
