It would be no surprise if one day Kyneton\u2019s ‘Little Swallow Caf\u00e9’ was renamed the ‘Big Heart Caf\u00e9’!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The generosity of the caf\u00e9 owners is once again apparent with their offer to host the upcoming fundraiser for the not-for profit, community owned RM Begg Kyneton Aged Care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Friday June 24, an event will be held at the Little Swallow Caf\u00e9 in Piper Street, Kyneton from 6.30-9.30pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tickets will cost $50 per person, and all money raised from ticket sales will be returned to RM Begg, as well as funds from a donation box on the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not the first time Little Swallow co-owners Daniel Richards and Ed Pursey have opened their hearts to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In August last year the Caf\u00e9 was the venue for RM Begg\u2019s ‘Charity Fundraiser Pivot Event’, which included a luxury raffle and goods and services auction, raising $27,000 for the organisation. They\u2019ve also hosted events for the Scouts and CWA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are a very successful business thanks to the beautiful community that supports us, which is why we are happy to give back through events like this one,\u201d Daniel Richards says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RM Begg has faced challenging times and its future has been uncertain. However changes expected later this year to the federal government\u2019s aged care funding model have prompted the organisation\u2019s board to ditch plans to partner with a larger group, and instead remain as a stand-alone facility, an outcome the community had hoped for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhile the latest good news about the organisation\u2019s future is encouraging, we believe fundraising is still an important way to engage the community and to inject welcome additional funds back into the RM Begg,\u201d RM Begg fundraising coordinator Angela White says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The upcoming fundraiser will include live music, lucky door prizes and the major Thermomix raffle will be drawn. Tickets will cover the cost of finger food, beer, wine, soft drinks and Animus Gin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
