The staff members at Maxi IGA Castlemaine have pulled out all the stops to create their fifth mega Easter Raffle to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Maxi IGA team has done a fantastic job collecting donations and there are an incredible 102 prizes to be won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First prize in the raffle is a huge hamper worth more than $300.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The many other prizes include Easter Eggs, chocolate goodies and other delicious items donated by Maxi IGA suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kids (and adults) are also invited to take part in an Easter Colouring competition with four prizes to be won in each of the age groups: Five and under, junior (6-12) or senior (13- 102).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Min Daw and her team at Maxi IGA have put in countless hours over the past five years, getting donations from suppliers and putting the hampers together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s just been getting bigger and bigger each year,” Min said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We raised over $14,000 last year and it all goes towards the Good Friday Appeal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s such a worthy cause. Everyone has either used the Royal Children’s Hospital or knows someone who has, we’re lucky to have such an amazing facility.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raffle tickets can be purchased at any of the registers for $2 or 3 for $5. Simply call in and collect a picture for the kids to complete to be in the running to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The raffle runs until Thursday April 6 at 2pm so be quick to snap up your ticket. Winners will be notified from Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
