Riddell A-grade netballers have started the 2025 season well, and have their sights set on making a strong bid for the title when finals arrive.

The inclusion of vastly experienced goal shooter Bec Colwell paid off against Wallan on Saturday.

The Bombers scored a 50-39 victory, with Colwell throwing 45 goals.

Fionnuala McKeagney-Stubbs, Colwell and ultra-consisent Mady Brown were Riddell’s best in the all-the-way victory.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Romsey bounced back from an opening round loss to Lancefield with a sound 54-36 victory at Diggers Rest.

Charlize Bellette led the way with 43 goals and was best on court.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the other A-grade match in the split round Melton Centrals 63 defeated Melton South 45.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Good Friday, April 18, the other two A-grade matches in the split round should generate considerable interest.

Reigning premiers Woodend-Hesket are looking for a hat-trick of premierships, and welcome Kyneton to Gilbert Gordon Reserve.

The Hawks, with Ty Coppinger in charge, have some new inclusions at the top level this season, and will be keen to keep the Tigers at bay.

Gisborne Giants were impressive on debut in the opening round, and face up to Macedon on Good Friday at the sporting complex at New Gisborne.

Riddell B-graders outclassed Wallan 62-33 on Saturday.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shelby Holter landed 42 goals, and shows the depth the Bombers have by being in this grade.

Romsey B-grade outclassed Diggers Rest 58-25 as Kiara Taylor and Maddson Thompson went on a scoring spree.

Riddell C-graders worked hard to defeat Wallan 31-24, with Keely Wallace-Kilbane best for the Bombers.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diggers Rest defeated Romsey 36-23.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the 19&Under matches, Wallan defeated Riddell 33-24, and Romsey beat Diggers Rest 32-27.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In D-grade, Riddell beat Wallan 34-14, and Diggers Rest downed Romsey 40-9.
