Mount Alexander Shire Council is proud to launch the 2025 Mount Alexander Business Awards with nominations opening today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards spotlight innovation, resilience and impact across our local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In alignment with council\u2019s Economic Development Strategy, the awards feature refreshed categories that reflect six foundational goals, each designed to shape a thriving, inclusive and sustainable community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Categories include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outstanding Workplace <\/strong>\u2013 For businesses fostering inclusive and supportive work cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability Hero <\/strong>\u2013 Recognising leadership in environmental sustainability and circular economy practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NextGen Champion<\/strong> \u2013 Celebrating businesses creating opportunities for young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local Food Excellence<\/strong> \u2013 Honouring those strengthening our local food systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility Champion<\/strong> \u2013 For businesses creating inclusive and accessible experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community Impact <\/strong>\u2013 Recognising businesses making a genuine difference through connection and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovation and Technology <\/strong>\u2013 Celebrating smart solutions that benefit business, community or planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People\u2019s Choice<\/strong> \u2013 Awarded to the business with the most nominations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park won the 2023 Innovative Service or Product award, and Claire Height, owner and manager of Big4 Castlemaine said it was a great honour to be the recipient of several Mt Alexander Shire business awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe awards provide an important recognition of the time, effort and resources so many small businesses dedicate to delivering great products and services. The recognition helps make the hard work worthwhile,” Claire said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMost importantly for me, the awards have had a big impact on the BIG4 Castlemaine team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSimply being nominated is an acknowledgement that business success is a team effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe awards night is always special and we leave feeling energised and looking forward to creating new opportunities and successes for the business.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominations open today, Tuesday August 26, and close on Sunday September 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Businesses nominated by the community or themselves will then be able to complete the entry form, where they can provide more information on their business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalists will be selected by an independent judging panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards ceremony this year will be held on Wednesday November 19 at Boomtown Winery and Bistro at The Mill, Castlemaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
