{"id":3544,"date":"2019-07-30T09:52:38","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T23:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.midlandexpress.com.au\/?p=3544"},"modified":"2019-07-30T10:16:19","modified_gmt":"2019-07-30T00:16:19","slug":"glamour-on-the-menu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/centralvic.com\/midlandexpress.com.au\/featured\/2019\/07\/30\/glamour-on-the-menu\/","title":{"rendered":"Glamour on the menu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Local foodie Jennifer Beachey and former Melbourne restaurateur Marcus Tomlin are the creative minds behind the newly revamped and reimagined Piper Street restaurant Parkland Kyneton.<br \/>\nThe vibe is one of understated traditional elegance with a luxe twist.<br \/>\n&#8220;We want anyone and everyone to walk in, find their nook and instantly feel comfortable,&#8221; Jennifer says.<br \/>\n&#8220;We love the space and pride ourselves on having created an unpretentious yet beautiful aesthetic to complement any occasion and visit.&#8221;<br \/>\nWhen renovating Parkland, Marcus and Jennifer wanted to create a bright, sophisticated and warm environment that the building lent itself so well to.<br \/>\n&#8220;We definitely wanted a little glamour and luxe (come and check out our armchairs and our loos), but we also want people to feel comfortable and relaxed,&#8221; Jennifer says.<br \/>\n&#8220;We think our space lends itself to so many occasions; from a special dinner, date night through to an end-of-week catchup with the girls and boys.<br \/>\n&#8220;We have even added some well-known beers on tap to add an extra sense of familiarity for the boys.&#8221;<br \/>\nParkland Kyneton&#8217;s menu is really an epicurean showcase of the amazing local food and wine of the region.<br \/>\n&#8220;We live in an area that is abundant with incredible food and wine and with every season our plates are overflowing with world-class ingredients complemented by delicious wines,&#8221; Jennifer says.<br \/>\n&#8220;At Parkland, we really want to display the talents of our surrounding food and wine producers.<br \/>\n&#8220;Our head chef Mark Renaud comes from top Melbourne restaurants, The Botanical, The Railway Hotel and recently his own restaurant in Macedon before joining us.<br \/>\n&#8220;He knows how to get the best out of local food and delivers over and above with imaginative, innovative dishes.&#8221;<br \/>\nParkland&#8217;s food concept centres on curated share plates and community style eating.<br \/>\n&#8220;We love the idea of conversation, passing plates of delicious food around the table, and plenty of laughter.
