At the beginning of August a group of Kyneton women got their heads together with a common goal of raising money for a cause very close to their hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


They joined the National Breast Cancer Fund ‘Step Up to Breast Cancer’ challenge where participants set themselves a target of 10,000 steps per day to raise money to go towards the charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“One of our own, much-loved local ladies, Nicole Strang, has been a pillar of strength in her fight with cancer for the past four years,” team member Jen Beachey said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“Those around her witness her never-lagging bravery, strength and determination, and her ability to still, while fighting her own battle, give so much to those around her and contribute to our community.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Jen said that in the process of raising funds for #TeamStrang, they had experienced an overwhelming level of support from the community and local businesses who were also facing their own challenges in these ever-changing times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“It has been humbling to witness the momentum gathered in a local movement of selfless and heartfelt generosity from businesses who have opened their hearts to support Nicole and her team in raising money to fight cancer,” Jen said.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“People behind businesses like; Dame Yung, Fed, The Piper Street Food Company, Granite Hills Winery, Frankie+Mac, Real Home Foods and The Conversion Project have jumped on board and thought outside the box to back Nicole and her team to hit their $20k target.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicole said the team had been blown away by the generosity of people who wanted to get behind them.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We know how tough it has been, but it never ceases to inspire us, how incredible our local community and beyond is,\u201d she said.
With only a few days to go Nicole and her team are reaching for their target to raise $20,000 and hope they can even beat their goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
